Look at the picture above. As a teacher, sometimes I’ve got trapped in the ‘mass teaching’. It means that I deliver knowledge in the same or standard way, without looking at their capability.
For example student A, for the first her capability maybe only in 20 point. Then student B, in 40 point. After they have studied, student A got 70, student B got 80.
Which one is the best?
Literally, we can say student B got the highest point. But if we explore it more, student A got the best progress (50 points), better than student B progress (40 points).
And that’s why the cartoon goes. If elephant can do the climbing, it will be an awesome action. But if monkey can do this, it will be a regular activity for the monkey.
So everybody has their unique strength and weakness. We, as teacher must look at their capability, and push it to the max. Eventhough their achievement will be different among them, but the important thing is their progress.
